This is a new feature added to Gmail to avoid its users waiting to upload and attach an image. Also this gives it a nice appearance.



All you need to do is that in the in rich formatting mode just click on the image icon and there you will have two ways to add images i.e., uploading images directly from your computer or by providing URLs.
